Viking has completed the rollout of SAP Commerce Cloud (formerly Hybris) in Switzerland and thereby successfully finalised the rollout in all countries. Following the implementation in Belgium and Luxembourg earlier this year, Viking has now modernised its customer e-commerce experience for its customers in all its seven markets.  

Cameron Black, Head of Technology & Data says: “The rollout of SAP Commerce Cloud in Switzerland was our last country rollout, meaning we now have a single web shop for all our Viking customers. Our teams are rightly proud of what we have achieved and of the hard work they have put in to make this happen, for which they deserve a big thank you. Now that the roll-out has been completed, we will focus on further improving our customer experience, ensuring we can offer our customers the best possible journey with us and finalising the transfer of all remaining Office Depot customers to our Viking platform. It also takes us further on our journey to our technology goal – simple, scalable, automated.” 

The rollout of SAP Commerce Cloud has been a key element of the company’s Viking+ Programme, supporting Office Depot Europe to simplify and modernise its IT landscape. Following the completion of the programme, which is expected in the next few months, Office Depot Europe will trade only as Viking. The enhanced e-commerce platform will allow Viking to deliver on its customers’ needs and to provide an excellent customer journey and scalable experience for its customers of any size, thus ensuring its position as a successful and leading supplier of workplace solutions.
